Killing Joke return with their first new material in over seven years. The Lord Of Chaos EP features two new songs and two re-worked songs from their last album, Pylon, released in 2015.
Killing Joke have announced the Honour The Fire tour, opening with an intimate warm-up show at the Frog & Fiddle in Cheltenham on Sunday, 27 March 2022.
The tour will conclude in London at the Eventim Apollo, Hammersmith, on Saturday, 9 April 2022, which is being filmed.
“I’ve never known anything like the time we are living in now,” Dr Jaz Coleman says. “Not since the Cuban Missile crisis, but now in comparison, we have multiple flashpoints.”
The songs Lord Of Chaos and Total were produced by Killing Joke and Mixed by Tom Dalgety. They set the tone for the band’s next studio album, currently being worked on in Prague. “Lord of Chaos is about complex systems failure,” Coleman says, “when technology overloads and A.I. misreads the enemies intentions.”
Of the two tracks from Pylon, Big Buzz has been remixed by Dalgety and Nick Evans, and Delete In Dub has been given the full treatment by KJ’s Youth.
The Imbeciles are supporting on all dates except Cheltenham, and Brix Smith is the special guest in London.
The Lord Of Chaos EP is out 25 March 2022 and can be pre-ordered from killingjoke.lnk.to/LordOfChaosPR.
