Kill The Lights / Blistering Quarantine cover of Metallica’s Battery released

Kill The Lights have released their second Quarantine cover, a blistering version of Metallica’s Battery. You can hear the track below, as well as their earlier cover of Testaments’ ‘Into The Pit’.

Kill The Lights, which features former members of Bullet For My Valentine and Throw the Fight, released their seismic debut album ‘The Sinner’ 21 August, via Fearless Records.

Drummer Moose Thomas told MetalTalk: “We were talking about doing another ‘Quarantine Cover’ after we had so much fun covering ‘Into The Pit’ by Testament and it was obvious that we had to try and top that.

“In my mind I’ve always wanted to cover anything off the amazingly good Master Of Puppets and it came down to a choice between ‘Disposable Heroes’ or ‘Battery’.

“We chose the latter, just because we all agreed that it would be a good challenge to hopefully do justice to it.

“And of course, we’re massive Metallica fans – who isn’t?! We had a fun time tracking it!”

We recently interviewed James Clark and you can read what he had to say here.

Kill The Lights remain hopeful to proceed with their ten date headline shows in March 2021. Special guests will be Hopeless Records-signed, Newcastle band GroundCulture. Dates are below.
