Kaviani has released a haunting version of the Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers’ classic single, ‘Even The Losers’, which you can watch below or via the MetalTalk Soundcloud Tracks Of The Week playlist.
Having recently covered for Sebastian Bach/Chevy Metal guitarist Brent Woods on Tara Lynch’s support of the UFO farewell tour, Kaviani has spent the last few years as a session guitarist. He has toured with multi-platinum artists Joe Lynn Turner (Deep Purple/Rainbow) and Eric Martin (Mr Big) as well as Damon Johnson & Ricky Warwick (Thin Lizzy/Alice Cooper/Black Star Riders).
Now taking his skills to his own craft, Kaviani has spent time writing and recording in London and Nashville, working with multi-platinum producers Phil Da Costa (Sir Tom Jones/Mick Fleetwood) and Pete Woodroffe (Def Leppard).
Releasing his first single, ‘Don’t Let The Bombs Drop, Daddy’ as a solo artist in 2019, Kaviani has released six singles in total with more to come 2020.
Discussing lockdown, Kaviani told MetalTalk: “It’s actually suited me to the ground. I’ve finally been able to start cracking on with lots of projects I’ve always been delaying because I never had the time. I’ve been wanting to create tuitional videos and informative content for YouTube for a while now but you need a solid day to get the camera and lighting set up, then film everything, edit it etc…if you’re constantly being interrupted, it’s just not possible.
“As I can’t get out and gig to get new fans, I’m really concentrating on increasing my subscribers for when I release my own music.
“I feel like I’ve been able to capitalise on this downtime and get creative with the limited resources I have…especailly not being able to get into the studio. I’m doing everything from my home. I’ve not written a full song yet however! I have 6 more songs already recorded, which I’ll be releasing as singles when I feel the time is right.
“I’ve had lots of ideas which I’ll finish once I’ve got some more content up in my YouTube channel.”
