Guitar powerhouse Jared James Nichols has announced his fourth studio album, Louder Than Fate, due out on 5 June via Frontiers Music Srl. To mark the news, Nichols has also released the new single Pretend, alongside an official music video.
Raw, unapologetic and rooted in the lineage of blues-driven hard rock, Louder Than Fate captures Nichols at a creative peak, pairing grit and groove with heavy riffs and a modern, punchy production designed to hit hard on record and on stage.
“I’m beyond excited for this record,” Jared James Nichols says. “If the singles are any hint, there are plenty of riffs ripping through the speakers like a buzz saw. Going deeper, there are different emotions and sounds that I have yet to explore as a singer/songwriter. Get ready for Louder Than Fate.”

Louder Than Fate was produced and mixed by Jay Ruston (Anthrax, Stone Sour, Amon Amarth, Skindred, Steel Panther), with additional production on select tracks by Roger Alan Nichols (Larkin Poe, Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown). The album is said to balance muscle and melody, moving between hard-hitting Rock anthems and more reflective moments while keeping the amps pinned.
About the new single, Nichols says Pretend “hits like a live wire – gritty, pumping drums and guitar chugs that scream on the edge of chaos. Sometimes a relationship is all smoke, no fire; it’s just a borrowed desire.”
