Hard Rock guitarist and singer-songwriter Jack J Hutchinson has confirmed the release date of his forthcoming studio album Soul Believer and shared its powerful title track and accompanying video.
Soul Believer is scheduled for release on 22 January 2027 and is available to pre-order now. To celebrate the album launch, Hutchinson will headline a special show at O2 Academy Islington on 21 January 2027.
Co-written with Josiah J Manning at Momentum Studios, the new single Soul Believer combines Heavy riffs, gritty vocals and an uplifting message about resilience, self-belief and confronting life’s challenges head-on.
“Soul Believer was written during a period of turmoil and instability in my personal life,” Hutchinson said “It’s about taking all the shit that life can throw at you, raising your head above the parapet and saying, ‘bring it the fuck on!’.
“There’s no point being pulled down by the chaos. We all have that spark in us to keep fighting and carrying on. It’s about believing that eventually there will be brighter days and that hope is a powerful thing.”
Recorded across Momentum Studios in Plymouth and SuperFly Studios in Nottinghamshire, Soul Believer follows Hutchinson’s 2024 album Battles, which topped the Official Independent Chart. “To get it in the charts was an incredible feeling,” Jack told MetalTalk in September 2024. “I didn’t even check because I didn’t think that I would be able to get into the independent chart. But when I got a message that Friday evening saying you’re in the chart, I was really blown away by it. It set us up for a really good six months of touring after that, which was cool.”

The new album features 12 tracks that move between hard-hitting blues rock, melodic acoustic moments and cinematic songwriting inspired by records such as Physical Graffiti and Exile On Main Street.
Having recently shared stages with FM and King King, Hutchinson will support the new album with an extensive UK tour featuring his power trio of Greg Smith on bass and Phil Wilson on drums.
Tour dates include appearances at Firevolt Festival, HRH Blues, Maid Of Stone Festival and a headline London album launch show at O2 Academy Islington.
Soul Believer is out on 22 January 2027. Pre-orders are available from here.
