CONFIRMED: Iron Maiden, Ozzy Osbourne, Metallica and AC/DC Festival rumour

CONFIRMED – The rumour mill is rife with stories that Ozzy Osbourne is coming out of retirement to join Iron Maiden, Metallica, AC/DC and Tool in headlining the Power Trip Festival in Indio, California, over the weekend of 6-8 October.

The Scenestar is reporting that the “full festival lineup and further details will be officially revealed on Thursday, March 30, at 7 a.m. This edition will feature legendary rock heavy performers from the 1970s and 1980s, according to sources close to The Scenestar.” Power Trip, renamed from Desert Trip Festival, created a new Twitter account on February 2023 and shared a 23-second teaser film.

This teaser film was subsequently shared by all the bands above, with each band’s logo shown on the photocopier screen. A new website was also created in February 2023. Keep your eye on https://powertrip.live for developments.

Rumours persist that Guns N’ Roses are also set to appear, but there is no social media post yet. Perhaps their social media guy is in a different time zone?

Desert Trip first appeared in 2016 and featured The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney, Neil Young, Roger Waters and The Who.

Passes for this year’s Power Trip will go on sale next week.
