Lorna Shore brought a full-blown experience, a rollercoaster of emotion, intensity and pure energy to a packed Alexandra Palace. But the power of Whitechapel and Shadow Of Intent made this into an epic night.

Whitechapel
Whitechapel completely surprised me. Their studio songs really do not show how powerful this band is live. With Prisoner 666, Whitechapel owned the stage from the very first second of their set.
The sound was clear and strong, and it really made their heavier songs, such as A Visceral Retch and The Somatic Defilement, hit even harder.

What surprised me the most was Phil’s voice. He changed his pitch so many times, and every single vocal was on point. His voice is super deep, but also powerful and brutal at the same time. Whitechapel are honestly incredible live.
The crowd stayed engaged the whole time, with strong energy, especially during the most aggressive moments of the set. With Prostatic Fluid Asphyxiation and This Is Exile, Whitechapel left the stage after delivering an amazing and mind-blowing performance.

Their technique is insane. They are tight as a band, and the lyrics and music speak for themselves. Whitechapel are a band that are more than ready to take over the Deathcore scene.

Shadow Of Intent
Shadow Of Intent were one of the opening bands, and with their mix of Deathcore and Symphonic Death Metal, they made the start of the night absolutely epic. Their sound was almost orchestral, dark, huge and full of energy.

They kicked off the set with They Murdered Sleep, surrounded by dim lights and a crowd that went almost crazy from the first notes. Even though they played early and most people were there for the headliner, the band managed to grab everyone’s attention right away.
The set felt tight and well put together. Flying The Black Flag and Vehement Draconian Vengeance were my two favourite songs. Ben Duerr’s vocals were super powerful and steady from start to finish.

Technically, the band sounded solid the entire time. The guitars were sharp and full of insane riffs, the drums hit hard and stayed aggressive, and the bass filled everything out perfectly.
The result was a pure blast of energy, especially during The Heretic Prevails, when the pit exploded.

Their performance at Alexandra Palace proved that Shadow Of Intent are more than ready for big tours and can easily handle a wild crowd lost in total chaos.
