Electric Callboy & Bury Tomorrow Set Alexandra Palace on Fire

I do not know a better way to spend a Tuesday night than with Electric Callboy. Their Tanzneid World Tour landed in Alexandra Palace, London, and they kicked off the show with a bang. Just two weeks after releasing Tanzneid, tonight made every one of us jump. Electric Callboy made sure we were in for one of the most unforgettable nights ever, along with by Bury Tomorrow.

Fireworks, pyro and confetti filled the sold-out Alexandra Palace, and you could feel the energy building for something massive. This time, I left my fears and anxiety at the door and dove headfirst into the show. My best decision ever.

Being in the pit, surrounded by total chaos, was something I had never experienced before. That is where you really feel the soul of the night, the raw energy.

With Frank Zummo on drums, of course, we got a Sum 41 cover, Still Waiting. The crowd lost it, singing at the top of their lungs. One of many unforgettable moments.

Zummo was an absolute beast, especially during his drum solo. Tekkno Train, Hypa Hypa, Pump It, and we were only getting started. The crowd was already out of breath, but not tired, especially when Electric Callboy hit Hurrikan, one of their most iconic and funniest songs. Proper German Schlager vibes.

Everyone danced with a cheeky grin before the energy was cranked back up with a DJ set from Electric Bassboy, a side project by Daniel and Pascal (guitars) and Kevin and Nico (vocals), remixing Electric Callboy songs into a wild techno-meets-Metal dance party.

They started with Overkill by RIOT, moved to a remix of All The Small Things by Blink 182, then Bodies by Drowning Pool, finishing with Song Request by Ray Volpe.

Honestly, I cannot pick my favourite moment, the DJ set or getting completely sucked into the pit during RATATATA.

The band’s energy was constant, and the crowd rode it hard. Being in the middle of it, I truly felt what “Look out for each other” means.

Even among strangers, everyone had each other’s back. That’s the beauty of music, it unites people and seeing everyone dancing together was emotional and unforgettable.

After Revery and Mindreader, Kevin shared that Nico was “super extra excited” to play Ally Pally because he is a huge darts fan and the World Darts Championship was coming up there.

Randomly, Kevin brought out a dartboard and let Nico take three throws, scoring only 20 points! But hey, Nico, it was all about taking part.

The band then took us back in time to their early days as Eskimo Callboy, with tracks like Monsieur Moustache vs. Clitcat / Muffin Purper-Gurk, We Are The Mess and Crystals. Then, out of nowhere, Nico, Kevin and Daniel appeared in the crowd just a few steps away from me.

Kevin on piano, Daniel on acoustic guitar, Nico starting the first notes of Fuckboi, an acoustic set right in the crowd. Crazy, completely unexpected, and so emotional.

Between laughs and jokes, they continued with a cover, always in acoustic, of Everytime We Touch by Maggie Reilly, before returning to the stage to end it in their original version.

Electric Callboy’s vibes shift are wild.

Ally Pally exploded during breakdowns, mixed with electronics, pyro and confetti once again. Kevin and Nico’s vocals work perfectly together, blending screams and clean singing. It’s wild. Confetti cannons, a hand-held confetti gun, flames, pyro. Everything was there.

Electric Callboy wanted to put on a show to remember, and they nailed it.

After Elevator Operator, the encore hit with RATATATA featuring BABYMETAL, and Spaceman, ending with my absolute favourite, We Got The Moves.

It was a perfect, nostalgic finale. Nobody wanted to leave.

A live Electric Callboy show leaves you stunned. They pull you into their world, away from reality, make you move nonstop and have more fun than you have ever had.

My body still hurts, but my soul is healed.

Bury Tomorrow

When Bury Tomorrow hit the stage at Alexandra Palace with Choke, you knew right away they were ready to take over. The dual vocals of Dani Winter-Bates and Tom Prendergast hit hard live.

Dani led the show with powerful growls that were intense enough to scare you, especially on Cannibal, while Tom’s clean melodic lines added a bright, almost emotional contrast in the huge space of Ally Pally.

The band was tight from the start. The guitars switched between sharp riffs and heavy breakdowns that hit straight in the chest. The crowd went wild, mosh pits, crowd surfing, nonstop energy. Everyone was losing it and you could not blame them.

In my opinion, Bury Tomorrow are now one of the strongest bands in UK Metalcore and seeing them live only proved it.

The setlist included tracks like Villain Arc and What If I Burn, leading up to Black Flame, where both band and crowd gave their all. Sadly, they only played half the song because of a crowd injury.

The show stopped for a few minutes, and from where I was standing, it was not clear what had happened. Silence filled Ally Pally before they jumped straight into the final track, Abandon Us.

Just like that, their set was over. Time flew and everyone clearly enjoyed
every second. Bury Tomorrow proved they are at the peak of their powers and, in doing so, exceeded every expectation.
