Fish cancels all 2021 European dates, six UK dates remain

Fish has announced that his mainland European tour has been cancelled, with just six remaining UK dates left which are scheduled for November 2021.

A statement released by A.S.S. concerts and promotions in Germany reads:

“On account of the ongoing pandemic and the complete uncertainty as of when we are allowed back to do regular concerts, Fish has decided, with a very heavy heart, to cancel all of his European concerts scheduled for autumn 2021.

“The logistics of a tour to encompass over 40 shows in eight countries cannot be addressed right now and cannot be guaranteed at shorter notice. No need to explain that this has not been an easy decision for Fish, but currently it is unavoidable.

“With the current state the world is in no new dates can be scheduled for now.”

Fish continues by stating:

“To most of you this will not come as a surprise and I am, as the press release points, out bitterly disappointed at losing the mainland European ‘Weltschmerz/Vigil’ tour. The risks in setting up a tour for dates that may or may not happen are severe and we have regretfully made the decison to cancel. These dates are not being postponed.

“Please contact the venues or ticketing agents for refunds as we have nothing to do with ticketing for shows here at this office.

“I’m not the first and certainly won’t be the last to lose shows in Europe this year and with the prolonged uncertainty I will not be booking any more shows until I am absolutely certain that they will go ahead.

“With the advanced vaccination rollout in the UK and hope that the government’s road map to recovery will be  the shows in the UK are still on the books.”
