Download Festival 2023 / Saturday, the hottest day yet

Download Festival 2023 – Day Three, and the air is hot ‘n’ spicy with a 28 degrees of heat hitting us from a clear blue sky. Whether it’s pure safety precautions or a little inspiration from that Woodstock ’99 documentary, most seem to be carrying filled water bottles to keep cool against the sudden summer sun.

It’s either chucking it down like Download 2016 or no hiding from the heat like last year and now. There seems to be no in-between when it comes to festivals.

But I think we’d much rather have this than the other. Today is looking to be the busiest day of the weekend, but faces are smiling, and the fear of Download coming to an end does spur on the fun as punters work to make the most of the two days they have left.

Metallica are back this evening, and before them, hours of triple threat acts to entertain and engorge. Right, we are off to see what they bring today.
