Diamond Head singer Rasmus Bom Andersen was handed a fans prosthetic leg at this weekends Hammersmith Odeon gig. The false limb was raised in the air by the initially bemused singer to rapturous cheers from the crowd.
On a week where dull musicians and even British Royalty were trying to make the most of the free publicity opportunity offered by the Spotify/Covid-19 squabble, Heavy Metal was the winner as Diamond Head, Girlschool, Uriah Heep, and Saxon concluded their sold-out shows across the UK.
The band signed the leg before it was returned to its owner.
MetalTalk will report on the Hammersmith show in full soon. Diamond Head return with Saxon this November.

This was me.
That has to be the second greatest show I have ever been to. The number one spot is currently the time Glenn Hughes made me cry(tears of joy) at Cardiff Tramshed 2018. It was only a month after the amputation and I didn;t have a prosthetic yet, but he gave me a wonderful shout out mid show after I was lucky enough to meet him before the gig. Rasmus is an absolte Diamond(pun intended). After their set when he brought it back, he helped me prank Girlschool with it. Jackie Chambers found it by her microphone stand, and her and Kim were a little confused as to how it had got there.
Four HUGE bands all at the iconic Hammersmith. It really doesn’t get any better that that.
