Defects, who have been announced for Download 2024, will tour Europe with US Metalcore titans Of Mice & Men and Caskets from next week. Defects have just released an epic video for a brand new track, Broken Bloodlines.

Broken Bloodlines focuses on leaving behind negative forces in your life. “It’s about when you’ve got friends or family in your life,” singer Tony Maue says, “and they’re just consistently taking the wrong path. You do everything to try to steer them back into the good side of life. But they just ignore it and continue to drag everyone good along with them.

“It’s about learning to cut ties with those people before you get sucked in too deep, letting them go and cutting your losses.” It’s a great song that uses electronic elements and experimentation to make it truly explode.

Defects, along with Of Mice & Men and Caskets, travel through Germany, France and The Netherlands before hitting the UK. “We are hugely thankful to the guys in Of Mice & Men,” the band said, “for the continued support and the amazing opportunity to follow them around Europe for the first time and in the UK.

“Growing up listening to this band and now sharing a stage with them is truly an honour, and we can’t wait to show everyone what we can do.”

Defects promise 2024 is going to find them absolutely everywhere. “Our whole idea is, if we’re going to do this, then we’re going to do it properly,” drummer Harry Jennings said. “Just really go for it, leave no stone unturned, and just dive headfirst into it. We’re taking no prisoners.”
