Bad Wolves hit the UK in December for four special UK Monsters headline shows, and MetalTalk has a pair of tickets, a t-shirt and a hat to give away to one lucky reader.
Today, the multi-platinum Bad Wolves are enjoying the hospitality of Roma, Italy, along with Volbeat and Skindred, as they prepare for tonight’s concert at the Atlantico. Bad Wolves finish their part of this tour on 9 December in Arnhem, The Netherlands, and then cross the Channel into Manchester.
Bad Wolves released their Dear Monsters album last year, the first featuring new vocalist DL, with great success. Despite having to wait many months before they were able to tour outside North America, the album soon hit 47 million streams and a combined 5 million video views.
They would then release the single If Tomorrow Never Comes, featuring Spencer Charnas of Ice Nine Kills and the Sacred Kiss EP, which includes a new version of Sacred Kiss featuring Aaron Pauley from Of Mice & Men.
Last month Bad Wolves released a version of the Ozzy hit Mama I’m Coming Home. “Doc [Coyle, lead guitar] presented the idea to cover Ozzy’s Mama, I’m Coming Home,” drummer John Boecklin said. “We were all so excited we immediately started recording it on the road this past summer. Kane Churko’s Vegas studio was on the route, so we tracked vocals there. Mama is a beautiful anthem about emotional repair, a message we all connect with. Our version has some new flavours but still stays true to the classic.”
The track is included in the Dear Monsters Digital Deluxe Version, which is out now. “With so many different versions of songs and unreleased material from the Dear Monsters sessions, we decided to release a deluxe version with everything in one spot,” Boecklin said. “I Don’t Want To Feel was the first song DL brought to the band and has a special place in our hearts. Wildfire is an orchestral version and is a darker side of our original. Lots more to unpack here, so have at it.”
