Breed 77 have today announced that the band has reformed and are keen to make up for lost time. To celebrate, they have also released a stunning new version of the song ‘A Matter Of Time’, a track taken from their second album ‘Cultura’. You can watch the video below.
It has been seven long years since Breed 77 last toured and over three years since their last triumphant gig, headlining National day in their native Gibraltar. This was a gig reviewed in these pages which you can read here.

My opening salvo that day read like this: “It has almost three years since Breed 77 last trod the boards and although they had not officially split up, they had quietly drifted away, leaving the mystique that one day they might find themselves all singing from the same hymn sheet again, so to speak.”
Well that day has indeed arrived and the band issuing the following statement:
“Hello friends, brothers and sisters of the internet. It has not been easy maintaining the radio silence these past days – we were going to post a lockdown video we had got together (virtually) for, but this announcement has turned into something else.
“We have decided to get the band back together!!
“We have realised how much we miss making music together and we feel this is the right time to wake the beast from its slumber.
“The world has changed immeasurably since we were last active, so we have a lot of work ahead of us – this ugly pandemic has ensured that the next year will mostly be concert free.
“This will give us time to start creating again. We will have new music coming for sure, but we will also start creating all sorts of content for this new world – hopefully connecting us even more to you guys out there, who we do all this for.
