Bloodstock Festival 2024 – Friday. It says something about the sheet presence of Rotting Christ that the biggest Heavy Metal band from Greece can perform in bright sunlight and still cast shadows with their atmospheric Black Metal.

They may have evolved over their 35-year career, but the Tolis brothers have always followed their Non-Servium path with 100% dedication.
They draw a set mainly from recent albums, but it is still an exhilarating watch. I would always prefer to see Rotting Christ indoors due to their ability to build tension and drama, but this is somehow conveyed in the mid-afternoon sun.
They pull a couple from the latest album, Pro Xristou, amongst others, with a phenomenal Like Father Like Son raising the hair.
It is a triumphant set that shows why this revered band still have plenty in the tank.

Weekend early bird tickets (Thu-Sun) for Bloodstock 2025 are available to purchase at the box office on-site for £175. Child weekend early bird’s are £45 (ages 4 -11). Mini moshers under age four can come for free.
Wednesday early access is also available for those who want to max out their Bloodstock experience – an early bird adult Wed-Sun ticket costs £200. There is no additional cost for children under 4, or aged 4-11, to arrive with a parent on Wednesday.
