Singer-songwriter and guitarist Arielle will release her new album, ’73, on 20 April 2023, with the title track now available to watch. The album is a loving celebration of her 1973 Volkswagen Bay Window Bus, which Arielle lovingly refers to as Magick. Arielle will visit the UK again as special guest on the When Rivers Meet UK Tour, set for April and May this year.
“I have always had a love of England, the culture and a lot of the music history. “Arielle told MetalTalk’s Sid Kissinger in Episode 27 of MTTV. “Of course, my favourite bands were from the UK. Diehards like me, we just want to see what is in the water, you know, see what it is all about, and understand the influences of where music came from by living there physically. Ever since I was 18 years old, I have lived on and off in the UK.”
’73 is the follow-up to Analog Girl In A Digital World, released in May 2021. Arielle is a self-proclaimed analogue girl who recorded live to tape. “Almost all the vocals are completely live while I am playing guitar,” she told MetalTalk. “When things are super polished, you lose the soul element of the music, the humanness.”
Analog Girl In A Digital World was described by us as a phenomenal album with warmth, professionalism and careful attention to detail and love that is greatly missed in the modern world.
’73 features Arielle’s brand-new BMG Arielle in cherry, manufactured by Brian May Guitars. The first batch sold out in 90 minutes and will be available in a limited edition solid cherry red colour. For more details visit https://shop.brianmayguitars.co.uk/the-bmg-arielle.html.
