AC/DC Announcing Fantastic 21-date Power Up European Tour

AC/DC, who began teasing a tour last week on their social media channels, have confirmed a 21-date Power Up European Tour. The dates include two shows at Wembley Stadium and one at Dublin Croke Park, Ireland. Tickets will be available from here starting 16 February 2024 at 10 AM.

The band has officially announced their tour lineup, featuring Brian Johnson, Angus Young, and Stevie Young. They will be accompanied by drummer Matt Laug, stepping in for Phil Rudd as he did during the Power Trip shows, and ex-Jane’s Addiction bass player Chris Chaney, who will take over duties for Cliff Williams.

Williams had initially stepped away from the band following the Rock Or Bust tour’s conclusion in 2016, only to make a comeback for the 2020 Power Up album.

Last week, AC/DC began hinting at the upcoming tour by sharing a cryptic video on their social media platforms. This video featured a pulsating rendition of the band’s iconic lightning bolt logo, with the phrase ‘Are You Ready’, set to the backdrop of AC/DC’s track bearing the same title.

Following this, additional videos kept the anticipation building up to today’s reveal, paralleled by a countdown clock on the band’s official website.

This tour will see the comeback of lead vocalist Brian Johnson, who had to leave AC/DC’s Rock Or Bust tour prematurely due to hearing issues, leading to Axl Rose, the frontman of Guns N’ Roses, stepping in to finish the tour in his place.
