Agincourt Secure Japanese Release For Debut Album

Birmingham Based rock band Agincourt are to have their debut album ‘Angels Of Mons’ released in Japan on 20th July 2011.

The Japanese deal which sees the album released on the Spirit record label (a subsidiary of Spiritual Beast) signifies another step forward for the band that offers new opportunities in the Eastern Territories.

Not only will the album be distributed throughout Japan where there is a strong market for British Original Music, but also China, Hong Kong, Korea and Taiwan.

The Album is to be re-packaged with a translation of the lyrics and comes with liner notes by Takahisa Okuno of Burrn! Japan’s biggest rock magazine.

Angels of Mons which was released on 1st March 2011 on the band’s own label Agincourt Music was recorded over a period of 18 months at Sable Rose Studios, Coventry and mixed at Arkham Studios based at Madhouse Rehearsal Studios in Hockley, Birmingham.

Since its release, German record distributors Hellion have promoted it throughout Northern Europe and there has been worldwide airplay of the album including the USA.

Hella Rock Festival

Agincourt will be very special guests of Jameson Raid at the Robin 2 Brierley Hill on 17th August 2011, where they will be showcasing tracks from the album.

The band consists of:

Founder members Lichfield based Richard E. Toy – vocals, guitar and Sutton Coldfield based Russ Weaver – bass
Dudley based Paul Anderson – guitar (formerly of Blackened, Eclipse) and Kidderminster based Steve Riley – Drums (formerly of Scarab)
