Within Temptation have released the single Don’t Pray For Me, an anthem for pursuing one’s own destiny. November and December 2022 UK/European tour dates have been confirmed with Evanescence, with the band also ready for 13 USA dates in October with Iron Maiden.
“We live in a world where cultures and beliefs are melting together,” the bands said, “while at the same time acts of intolerance and injustice dominate the world. Both societal issues and a rapid increase in sub-beliefs have resulted in fear, fragmentation and disconnect.”
“Don’t Pray For Me strives against forcing beliefs and fears onto others,” Vocalist Sharon den Adel said, “and bears witness to being acceptive of everyone’s own journey. It is an anthem about coming to terms with the fact that beliefs can be fluid, multiple or, frankly, different. The song is about allowing people to pursue their own destiny.”
Within Temptation will enjoy the European Summer Festival season before heading out on tour with Iron Maiden in the USA. A co-headline tour with Evanescence will hit Europe in November 2022.
Tickets from the original April/May shows are valid for the rescheduled dates.
Within Temptation have been busy in the studio writing and recording songs for a new album, expected next year.
