Whitechapel have unveiled the video for Prisoner 666, taken from Hymns In Dissonance, released earlier this year on Metal Blade Records. Vocalist Phil Bozeman calls it the narrative beginning of “the last living son,” relinquishing faith and serving Satan, while guitarist Alex Wade draws a line to 2014’s Saw Is The Law in the opening groove.
“It’s like we took that song and made it more epic and melodic,” Wade says. “The beats per minute are pretty similar to Saw Is The Law.”
The Knoxville titans return to US stages on the Rituals Of Hate headlining tour from 12 November to 14 December, performing Hymns In Dissonance in full with support from Bodysnatcher, Angelmaker and Disembodied Tyrant. Tickets are available from here.
Hymns In Dissonance scored major Billboard debuts and found the band reinventing themselves, going darker, deeper, and heavier than ever before.
