The Dead Daisies Promise To Light ‘Em Up In 2024

The Dead Daisies will release a new single Light’ Em Up on 10 May 2024. The new song is the title track from their new album due for 6 September 2024. The band, with John Corabi and Tommy Clufetos back in the fold, will tour the UK this September with The Treatment and The Bites.

This tour is The Dead Daisies most ambitious and biggest UK Tour to date, and Corabi is delighted to be back. John told MetalTalk in an earlier interview that he remained friends with The Dead Daisies. “We talked through the whole time that they had Glenn in the band,” he said.

“At one point, they were getting ready to tour with Glenn, and he was sick. I don’t know if he had COVID or what his deal was, but he wasn’t feeling well. I went up to New York for a week with the guys, and I helped them. I sang with them to help them prepare for their tour with Glenn, just to get their music together.”

John Corabi told MetalTalk that “the one thing that I cannot stress enough is the fun is back. Let it begin.”

With Glenn Hughes moving on for a new solo album as well as a new Black Country Communion album, the timing was right for Corabi to rejoin.

John said the first rehearsal back with David, Brian Tichy, Doug Aldrich and Michael Devin was special. “It was amazing,” John says, smiling. “This is the thing about The Daisies. Not only, on paper, everybody’s a great player, great songwriters, but we’re friends. Doug and I grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I knew Doug when he was 17 years old before he even moved to California. So Doug and I go way, way back. I’ve known Brian Tichy for 20 years.”

Then, with Brian Tichy moving on, it made sense to have their former drummer return. “We’ve also brought back our long-time buddy and Daisies alumni, Tommy Clufetos, to kick this new music in the teeth,” Corabi said.

So now, with a new song and album on the way, all we have to do is wait.

“Our 2024 Tour has been locked,” Doug Aldrich said, “and we’re gonna have some great nights of kickass rock. Can’t wait to play the new songs for you guys! See ya there.”
