Smith/Kotzen, the acclaimed pairing of guitar icons Adrian Smith and Richie Kotzen, have released the cinematic lyric video for Blindsided, one of the stand-out tracks from their much-praised second album Black Light / White Noise. The record hit No.1 on the UK Official Rock & Metal Albums Chart earlier this year, and Blindsided captures the duo at their most soulful and Heavy-hitting.
Built around a huge chorus, expressive twin-guitar work and Richie Kotzen’s unmistakable vocal, Blindsided leans into the bluesy, melodic side of Smith/Kotzen while still landing with plenty of classic Hard Rock weight. The new lyric video pairs the track with atmospheric visuals that underline the song’s widescreen feel and give fans another reason to dive back into Black Light / White Noise.
“You always have high hopes for your music,” Adrian Smith told MetalTalk in an interview in March this year. “I think this new album has… I mean, I love the first album we did. I think this new album is a bit rockier, but it’s still got our philosophy of taking stuff that inspired us over the years. With me, it’s ’70s, heavy bluesy kind of rock and trying to take it to another level. Crafting it into songs that people can enjoy. Swapping vocals, harmonising, swapping guitar lines, I think no one’s really doing that at the moment. I think we’re finding our niche, and people can relate to it.”

Alongside the new clip, Smith/Kotzen have confirmed that they will take The Black Light / White Noise UK & Europe Headline Tour 2026 on the road early next year. Joined by bassist Julia Lage and drummer Bruno Valverde, the band will hit venues across Spain, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, the UK, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Czechia, Poland and Scandinavia through February and March.
