Peter Green / Fleetwood Mac co-founder dies aged 73

Blues guitar legend Peter Green, co-founder of Fleetwood Mac, has passed away this weekend, aged 73.

A statement from Swan Turton solicitors, acting on behalf of the family, confirmed the news on Saturday.

The brief statement reads: “It is with great sadness that the family of Peter Green announce his death this weekend, peacefully in his sleep.

A further statement will be provided in the coming days.”

Green was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998.
