No Game Of Chance is the first single/video release from NitroVilles forthcoming third album, Ten Chapters. While the song has long been a staple of the band’s live set, we now have the finished studio version to enjoy in all its glory.
“No Game Of Chance was written on acoustic guitar whilst touring acoustically,” NitroVille vocalist and front-woman Tola Lamont told MetalTalk. “It was later arranged as a studio and electric live number. The acoustic roots are still traceable in the songs bluegrass element. A grinding and punching road movie style Southern hard rock piece – dark and atmospheric.”
Crunching guitars blend with bluegrass elements and guitarist Kurt-Michael’s banjo, whilst Tola Lamont’s vocals deliver a tongue-in-cheek story of a road heroine who’d better be left in peace.
It’s a very strong track, presented with the off-the-beaten-track steampunk grit and bluegrass meets hard rock style that has become the trademark NitroVille sound. We eagerly anticipate the full album!
