Hellfest 2023. Polish Black Death Extreme Metal? It’s hard to put a label on Behemoth, as they’ve had a hand in several Metal subgenres demonstrating their creativity through the years.
That is likely why they headlined Temple stage on Thursday night! Nergal screams, “Flames!” And they shoot out from the stage. They are welcomed back to Hellfest with open arms!
Taking us to the depths with such a demonic deep growly voice, Behemoth are irresistible, their sick guitar riffs showing off just what they’ve got.
Elsewhere, it was impossible to get anywhere near Flogging Molly. The photo below shows the nearest. It seemed a high proportion of the Hellfest crowd had marked the band down as a must-see.
