Hellfest 2023 – Thursday – Architects. There’s something to be said for precision. It may not be in punk rock, and it’s not Thrash, but a band that can execute pure precision and crushingly heavy riffs while still exciting the crowd is something fairly rare.
As Architects kick Into their Hellfest set with Nihilist and then into Black Lungs, it’s difficult not to be impressed. This young band is rising far and fast, and it’s not difficult to see why. They have the songs, and even people who aren’t their fans watch today’s performance with looks of impression.
The apocalyptic Doomsday is dedicated to second-stage headliners Parkway Drive and sees fans flying head over foot as they crowd surf towards the barriers.
Ending their set with Animals, the band have proven yet again they’re one to watch. A very impressive set.
