If Iron Maiden and Radiohead had a genre-bending lovechild, it might sound a lot like Dylan Gers. On Tuesday, July 15, 2025, the Teesside-born guitarist and songwriter will take the stage at London’s iconic Karma Sanctum Hotel in Soho to celebrate the launch of his new EP, Melancholic Madman. Backed by an eclectic band including Noah Yorke on drums and Louis Gers, the intimate gig promises a hypnotic fusion of NWOBHM energy, psychedelic blues, and haunting folk-rock atmospheres.
The Melancholic Madman EP is a raw and restless journey through shadowy themes of folklore, inner demons, and the transformative power of music. Featuring lead single “Feel My Heart” (dropping July 8), Gers explores emotional ambiguity with lyrics open to interpretation—backed by thunderous guitars, layered production, and the eerie tones of the pheromone, an instrument rarely heard outside of experimental rock. “Each song is an experience,” says Gers, who draws inspiration from icons like Jeff Beck, Neil Young, and Marc Bolan.
With tickets priced at just £10, this exclusive Soho gig is more than a live show—it’s an invitation to witness a new chapter in modern rock evolution. The Karma Sanctum, long known as the rockstars’ home base, sets the perfect stage for Gers’ ritualistic and genre-defying sound. Whether you’re a classic rock aficionado or curious about the future of the scene, Dylan Gers’ Melancholic Madman launch is not to be missed.
From the EP Melancholic Madman, Talisman is out now, and the next single is Feel My Heart, which drops on 8 July 2025. The full EP drops 15 July via sly-tone Records. Limited tickets are available for the Karma Sanctum from here.
