Bruce Dickinson / European Tour And First Mandrake Project Single News

Bruce Dickinson will open The Mandrake Project European Tour in Glasgow on 18 May 2024. Joining the Iron Maiden singer are guitarist Roy Z, drummer Dave Moreno, bass player Tanya O’Callaghan and keyboard maestro Mistheria.

The first single from this new project will be Afterglow Of Ragnarok, which will be released on 1 December 2023. The dramatic first song introduces the world to the music of the album and the compelling narrative that forms the basis of The Mandrake Project.

“It was important to set the tone of the project with this track,” Bruce told us. “As befitting its title, it’s a heavy song, and there’s a great big riff driving it. But there’s also a real melody in the chorus that displays the light and shade that the rest of the album brings. Just wait until you see the video.”

The B-Side features Dickinson’s original solo demo version of the song If Eternity Should Fail, which first appeared on Iron Maiden’s album The Book Of Souls in 2015.

There is a Deluxe Gatefold 7” Vinyl featuring an eight-page comic prequel. Pre-orders are available from here. Bruce Dickinson is set to reveal more at Sao Paulo comic-con 2023 (ccxp23) on 30 November.
