The Hunna release their self-titled album on 28 October 2022 via Believe. Their headline UK tour starts on the 18 October at the Tramshed, in Cardiff. Already, most of the dates are sold out.
The band have also released a double A-side Fugazi / Untouched Hearts, two songs that showcase the band’s contrasting sides. “Fugazi is about being locked up and held down for too long until you say, ‘Screw it, for one night we’re just going to go balls to the wall, have the best time ever and not care about the repercussions,” vocalist and guitarist Ryan Potter said.
Untouched Hearts is an intensely emotional rock ballad which deals with the personal losses Ryan has faced over the years. The song “is a soul-baring reflection on past traumas,” the band said, “with a new found sense of hope for the future. This song was the one that when we were writing it, it stapled what the sound of this record would be and the path the band are taking.”
The first single, Trash, was released earlier, the song a potent blend of anger and savage dark humour. Trash was the bands shot at music industry executives who told them things such as “TikTok, TikTok or else you get dropped.”
The remaining dates with tickets left are Cardiff, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle, Southampton and Brighton.
The Hunna has been produced by legendary producer Gil Norton (Pixies, Foo Fighters, Jimmy Eat World)
