The Classic Tales Of YES Tour 2024: Pushing New Boundaries

Following the release of Mirror To The Sky, the 23rd studio album from YES, back in May 2023, the band announced that a new Limited 2CD+Blu-ray Digipak version will follow on 5 April 2024. Also, under the banner of The Classic Tales Of YES Tour 2024, they will embark on a twenty-four-date tour, with the 15 European shows starting in Lisbon on 30 April and ending in Luxembourg on 21 May, before they head to the UK.

YES are very much looking forward to playing in Europe and the UK during May and June this year,” Steve Howe said. “It’s been a while since we toured here, and we’ve really missed you all.”

The tour is aimed at playing as many career spanning classics as possible, with some rarely played vintage pieces from 1970’s Time And A Word right throughout their career and coming right up to date with Mirror To The Sky.

“It promises to be one of our most interesting sets to date,” Geoff Downes said, “scanning through much of YES’ history and with some previously unheard pieces together with music from our latest album, Mirror To The Sky. As always, we’re committed to pushing new boundaries and are very excited to be performing another chapter in the rich legacy of the band.”

YES will then finish the tour in the UK with nine shows that start on 23 May at the Bridgewater Hall in Manchester and culminate at The Royal Albert Hall in London on 4 June 2024.

In line with other recent tours where the band have played themed shows based around specific albums, these shows will also accommodate a special section that will celebrate the 50th anniversary of their momentous Tales From The Topographic Oceans album.

“This collection of songs is unique in many ways, Jay Schellen said. “A classic YES show, thrilling and dynamic! I’m sure our fans will be excited and pleased as well.”

“My bandmates and I are very pleased and excited to bring our current set of classical YES music to the UK and parts of the EU,” Jon D said. “It covers the rich spectrum of YEStory and delighted US fans last fall. We’ll be performing many song favourites but also adding rarities, some of which haven’t been performed in decades. Let’s all join together in May, band and audience alike, to celebrate what’s best about YES music. See you there!”

Each show will feature a Roger Dean gallery in the venue’s foyer area. Roger is planning to be at each show on the tour, to meet with fans.

The enhanced Mirror To The Sky edition features the full album, plus the Blu-ray including Dolby Atmos, 5.1 Surround Sound and Instrumental Mixes of the album. Pre-orders can be made from https://yes-band.lnk.to/MirrorToTheSky
