Scarlet Rebels Unveil New Single Grace From Upcoming Where The Colours Meet

The march of Scarlet Rebels towards the release of their new album, Where The Colours Meet, is well underway, with the South Wales chart toppers releasing the awesome second single, Grace.

Written by frontman Wayne Doyle and guitarist Chris Jones, Grace continues on the Scarlet Rebels journey set by the triumphant See Through Blue album and shows their further progression as a band.

“This song is one of my favourites on the album,” Doyle told us. “It’s a guitar riff, based sing-along type of anthem that will be swirling around your inner jukebox for days, hopefully, a proper earworm.

“CJ sent us the composition just before we started working on new songs, and I matched its music with lyrics from an older song I had written called Grace. With some tweaks, it all came together perfectly.

“Inspired by songwriters like Bruce Springsteen, I aimed to create vivid imagery, like a girl picking flowers and laughing in the rain. The song tells the story of someone overcoming a tough past and finding hope, ultimately becoming the narrator’s ‘saving grace.'”

Grace follows on from the earlier single Secret Drug, a song that matches Angus Young-style guitar swagger with an arena-sized chorus.

We’re incredibly excited to show the world what we’ve been up to,” Doyle said. “Secret Drug is the first chapter from our new story and we’re so happy that we can finally unleash it on the world. It marks a new era for the band, defined by a feeling of bold new confidence that we have to thank our fans for since the release of our previous album, See Through Blue.

“The positivity that they bring to our world shines bright on Where The Colours Meet.”

Produced by Colin Richardson and Chris Clancy, Where The Colours Meet is set to release on 16 August 16 2024 via Earache Records.

“With Where The Colours Meet, we made an album of unity, a call for togetherness in a world gone mad,” Doyle said. “Our last album was deliberately polarising – I don’t regret that, and it was amazing to see everyone who did choose to stand with us as we spoke the truth about the wicked forces working in our world.

“But this time around, we made an album that will bring people together.

“I genuinely feel it’s the best set of songs we’ve written. The band’s performance is superb and Colin [Richardson] and Chris [Clancy] brought totally new ideas and focus to our music.

“We hope you enjoy this album as much as we enjoyed making it.”
