Saxon / Biff Byford catches Covid-19 curtailing European tour

Having already postponed the Rostock and Dresden shows on their European tour, Saxon have now announced that the Linz and Ulm dates will not happen just yet, as Biff has Covid-19, bringing an end to the current tour.

“We are very sorry, but due to Biff Byford catching Covid whilst on tour,” a statement read, “the remaining European dates in Dresden, Linz and Ulm are cancelled, and we are looking to reschedule them as soon as possible. Again we are very sorry for all the inconvenience this causes but it is way beyond anyone’s control. Keep the Faith.”

MetalTalk caught the band in Dublin early in the tour, a night when the venue was full of rockers ready to worship upon the altar of British Heavy Metal legends Saxon.

The news of the tour postponement comes days after they announced that “after much soul searching, our great friend and fellow warrior” Paul Quinn had stepped back from touring with the band.

MetalTalk sends their best wishes to Biff and co.
