Opeth Announce Blackwater Park 25th Anniversary Reissue On New Formats

Opeth have announced a 25th anniversary reissue of their landmark 2001 album Blackwater Park, due out on 27 March via Music For Nations. The new editions arrive as the record receives a silver certification, marking 60,000 sales.

A milestone of Progressive Heavy Metal

Often cited as one of the defining records in modern Progressive Heavy Metal, Blackwater Park helped broaden Opeth’s audience beyond the underground and into the wider Progressive world. The album’s dynamic swings, from crushing riffs to delicate acoustic passages, remain central to its long-running reputation.

The 25th anniversary campaign includes a half silver/half black vinyl pressing and a picture disc featuring the album’s original art direction. Pre-orders are available now at opeth.lnk.to/BlackwaterParkSilver
