Nicko McBrain Joins Royal Marines For Mountbatten Festival Of Music

Iron Maiden drummer Nicko McBrain will join The Massed Bands of His Majesty’s Royal Marines for three performances at this year’s Mountbatten Festival of Music (MFM). This year will be the 52nd MFM, held once more at The Royal Albert Hall.

“It is such an honour to be invited to perform with the Massed Bands of His Majesty’s Royal Marines at the 2024 Mountbatten Festival of Music,” Nicko McBrain told us. “I feel so humbled to be a part of this fantastic event. I look forward to seeing you all at the Royal Albert Hall in March to enjoy rockin’ out to some Maiden ditties along with a few fantastic surprises!”

McBrain will join for three concerts. The evening show on Friday 8th March and the matinee and evening shows on Saturday 9th March 2024.

100 musicians are drawn from the five Royal Marines Bands, alongside their world-famous Corps of Drums for the event. The Mountbatten Festival of Music, a vital fundraiser for the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charities, and Young Lives vs Cancer, offers an exhilarating musical journey.

Featuring premieres of stunning arrangements, traditional military marches, cinematic tunes, and brilliant solo performances, all complemented by dazzling lighting effects, this event has filled the Royal Albert Hall for over 50 years.
