Mimi Barks returns with her brand new single and video Jericho, the second track to be revealed from her upcoming EP Dreamstate Of Fear, set for release on July 24.
Following the release of Dreamstate Of Hell, which opened the door to a darker and more focused new era, Jericho pushes her self-defined DOOM TRAP sound even further. The track collides Alternative Metal, Industrial weight and modern rock with Heavy guitars, dynamic vocals and a hook-driven chorus.
At its core, the track explores inner collapse, transformation and the breaking apart of everything false to make space for something new. The video, filmed in Bordeaux and Paris by NineNine99 and Phenix Agency, visually reflects this intense shift.
“What looks like collapse is really release, an undoing of everything that was never truly mine,” Mimi Barks said. “There’s no real enemy unless you choose to become one to yourself. The shift happens when the self remembers itself, when the energy turns inward and transforms.
“The old world dissolves, making space for something unknown. That’s where freedom begins. What will you choose? Heaven or Hell?”
