2026 is storming ahead at The Green Rooms, Wales. With some busy gigs and photoshoots already at TGR (The Green Rooms), who says no one goes to gigs in January? It is gig season.
So what’s in store for TGR this year? With the success of TGR’s anniversary open-air festival, for a second year running, a third year has been confirmed. It’s on its way, with more bands and surprises this summer – TGR17! Tickets are on sale now! There is even a second festival booked for this year. Keep your eyes peeled.
More big news, TGR welcomes the return of Metal 2 The Masses – South Wales, coming back after over a decade. Supporting grassroots original bands, pursuing dreams, bringing people together, that’s what TGR is all about.
That starts as early as 7 February 2026 for the first heat. Don’t miss out on this historical event, with heat 2 this weekend.

New soundproofing doors have been installed in the rehearsal rooms, which are available to hire all week. Just check out The Green Rooms website to book in and check availability.
The main hall has been rearranged, with new upgrades to the staging, looking very professional. This can be hired whenever there is no gig/event on. Check under the main hall rehearsal link. You will see the web page has also had a little revamp. Jonny, the managing director, has been very busy.

There are lots of gigs coming up, amongst them are Ghosts Of Atlantis, who rocked the main stage at Bloodstock last year, and n0Trixx, who are currently going viral! RinRin and plenty more, do not miss out.
Even with all this work being put into TGR every day, none of it would be possible without you, the people, the amazing fans. So book a rehearsal space, book your own gig, buy a ticket, merch, a drink, or even just share a social media shout. Every bit helps to keep the business going, to get the word out, and to continue to enjoy music together.
Let’s use this fantastic space.
It is a challenging time in the music industry, and The Green Rooms are no different. Having to rebuild after flooding and battling against the rising costs, they have set up a GoFundMe to help maintain their operations and provide a safe haven for creativity in Rhondda and the wider area. You can donate here.
This weekend finds a Friday night full of punk with Manual Fail, No Murder No Moustache, Trunkshot and Love On Loan, while Saturday TGE hosts Heat 2 of Bloodstock Metal 2 The Masses – South Wales, where 4 more enter the ring for a chance to perform at this year’s Bloodstock Festival. Heat 2 features Remain The Few, Blood Red Lips, Excursia and Winter.
