Hellfest 2025, Clisson, France. If any band has earned their headline slot after 30-plus hard years of touring, it’s Korn. “Hellfest! Look at all of you crazy mother fuckers,” yells a jubilant Jonathan Davis. “We have been a band for 31 years, and after 31 years, it feels so good to be here with you today. Munky, Head and I can’t thank you enough.”

Tonight, Korn played a masterclass of a show. Everything from the performance to the mix is flawless. Jonathan Davis looks and sounds fantastic, and the twin guitars of Munky and Head have never sounded more razor-sharp.
Blasting through the hits like Got The Life and Adidas, the rhythm section of Ra Diaz and Ray Luzier are locked in and moving with the force of a wrecking ball.
Luzier’s drumming, in particular, has to be seen live to believe. Jonathan Davis asks the Hellfest crowd to get their middle fingers in the air before “Y’all want a single?”
They dutifully oblige and go flying head over heels towards the front of the pit, yelling, “Fuck that”.
Korn end their perfect set with Freak On A Leash and lead the crowd singing happy birthday to Brian ‘Head’ Welch. It’s hard to imagine a better or more spectacular setting in which to celebrate.
