Known worldwide on the screen for his many memorable roles, including 24, Lost Boys and Stand By Me, to name just three, Kiefer Sutherland is no one trick pony, as he is also a very talented musician. With a knack for his storytelling through the art of song, Kiefer hits right in the heartstrings with his music and tonight, his recent tour of the UK makes a brief stop in the quaint city of Norwich at the ever-popular venue that is the Adrian Flux Waterfront.

As the sold-out crowd piled in, around 8 pm, our first act of the evening, Sari Schorr, alongside her guitarist, Jim Kirkpatrick, took to the stage. Besides checking out a few of her songs on the ride up, which I thoroughly enjoyed, this was my first time experiencing her live. And my god, was I blown away!
Sari exudes sheer brilliance and raw emotion in her vocals. Tonight’s performance was purely Sari and Kirkpatrick on acoustic guitar duties, and I must say she brings the same power into this setting as in a full band setup. An incredible set by this power duo that certainly started the evening right! They ended on a great version of the Status Quo number, Down, Down.
Kiefer Sutherland
After a great start to the evening, everything is being set up for our headline act of the night, the one and only Kiefer Sutherland. As the band bounds onto the stage, you hear a roar from the crowd as the star of the show follows swiftly behind and right into Ole’ Lonely Life, followed by Can’t Stay Away.
Kiefer makes a heartfelt apology early on in the set, saying that the first two attempts at making this night happen were knocked on the head by the pandemic in 2021 and then having to cancel at the last minute on the first rescheduled date as he had caught the dreaded Covid-19 himself.
It was a long wait, but certainly worth it in the end. The band as a whole were on point. I mean, these musicians are truly professional in every sense of the word!
Sutherland’s music radiates an old-world kind of charm not seen too much these days. Along with Kiefer’s stories to go with a fair few of the songs, it really draws you in and creates an experience for the listener.
The band played a generous nineteen-song show from their back catalogue, including the likes of Bloor Street, which had a nice story about Kiefer’s life growing up, Something You Love, Two Stepping In Time and for the encore, Friday Night.
Agave finished the night off. A thoroughly enjoyable evening, and I recommend anyone to go and check out Kiefer Sutherland on his current tour.
