Eville / Ballistic An Attack On The Patriarchy

With the release of new single Ballistic, Eville have unleashed another unfiltered, raw and authentic display of female rage. This attack on the patriarchy brings their Industrial Brat Metal meets the grit of grime punk sound to the fore, which shows why the crowd was charged like a sparking car battery at their recent Omerea show.

“Ballistic is an unfiltered, raw and authentic display of female rage, unapologetically calling out the misogyny women face on a daily basis,” Eva Sheldrake told us. “It’s time to smash the glass ceiling and stamp on the pieces.”

Ballistic is heavy, and with Eville’s signature hard-hitting drum and bass-inspired beats, huge bass tones and gritty guitars, this song is guaranteed to open up mosh pits everywhere.

And live, they are impressive, too. “The instrumentation is crushing,” MetalTalk’s Theo A-Mullis said in the Omerea gig review, “with heavy riffs and thumping synths overlaid with lead singer Eva Sheldrake’s melodious vocals.”

Eville’s previous single, Blood, was crowned track of the week by BBC Radio 1’s Alyx Holcombe and it is a track that works so well live. “Blood was fucking great,” Theo said. “Eva showed she has got range with a growl that cut through to the fore of the track.”

If feral energy is your thing, then Eville are definitely a band to keep an eye on.

“Eville are quickly becoming the final boss for sexism,” Amelia Vandergast, Executive Editor at A&R Factory, said. “There’s no way chauvinists are getting out of this battle-ready banger alive.”
