Liz Medhurst

WRITER
Liz Medhurst has been involved with MetalTalk almost from the very beginning, when most of round here was still fields, seeing it grow into the premier UK website for all things rock and Metal.

Liz was Deputy Editor from 2015 to 2020, overseeing the publishing of the news sections as well as writing features, album reviews and live gig reporting. Liz was also the host and producer of You Spin Me Round, the innovative album review show broadcast on MetalTalk Radio.

After an obsession with ELO and Lindisfarne in the late 70s, her first live gig was Diamond Head in 1980, thus beginning a lifelong love of NWOBHM. Liz also discovered a passion for the blues, the more overdriven, dirty, heavy, and psychedelic, the better.

With a huge portfolio of work behind her, Liz still loves all aspects of music writing (apart from the deadlines) and is partial to a good festival. She’s not allowed in circle pits anymore, though.
