Within Temptation, who will tour the US with Iron Maiden in 2022, have released Forsaken, taken from their show The Aftermath, which first aired online in July 2021. Forsaken first appeared on the the bands third studio album The Silent Force, released in 2004.
“The Aftermath is a show fueled by bleeding-edge technology that takes place in different scenes of a post-apocalyptic world, in which we are witness of the Aftermath of the destruction of mankind,” Sharon den Adel said.
“A world in which it is unknown if anyone or anything of the human race survived. It is a search for answers about both its becoming as well as its legacy.”
Within Temptation will tour Europe as co-headliners with Evanescence from March 2022 before heading out on an American stadium tour with Iron Maiden.
“After a few quiet years, we hope that our shows in 2022 will take place,” Del Adel says, “with the icing on the cake, a tour with Iron Maiden. We have all been huge fans of the band for so long, and there is no bigger compliment than being invited as a special guest for their tour. We can’t wait.”
The Aftermath will air online again between 24 December 2021 until 31 December 2021. The show is free to fans who bought tickets in July, while new tickets are available at €7,99 from within-temptation.com
