The Harps / Andry Lagiou introduces ‘Mistress Of The Night’

The Harps, fronted by singer Andry Lagiou, have released the song ‘Mistress Of The Night’ taken from their upcoming album ‘Skies’.

Andry told MetalTalk: “This video is about standing for women and equality. It is against sexism, racism in job opportunities, personal relationships that women feel everyday by men in their lives.

“This has happened since the ancient and medieval times, till our days.

Nothing has really changed, But the women will rise up, right now!”

The Harps features Symphony X bassman Mike LePond, keyboardist Corvin Bahn (Uli John Roth) and guitarist Stephen Platt (Collibus) and ‘Skies’ has been mixed by Mike Exeter (Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Dio). Andry is also now a member of Mike LePond’s Silent Assasins.

Andry also featured on The Voice Of Greece, where her TV appearances have subsequently been watched millions of times on YouTube.

Her ‘blind audition’ was set against the track ‘Burn’, from Deep Purple.

The follow up to ‘Love Strikes Doves’, ‘Skies’ promises to continue in the Hard Rock vein, with driving guitar riffs matched with some of Andry’s classical influences.
