Killing Joke joins Billy Idol Roadside Tour after illness forces Television to pull out

Billy Idol brings his Roadside Tour 2022 to the UK in October. The lineup for the shows has changed, with Television forced to withdraw due to illness. Killing Joke will join as special guests and play a secret warm-up gig.

Television were disappointed to have to withdraw. “Unfortunately, due to illness, we have to cancel the forthcoming UK tour with Billy Idol,” they said. “We send our deepest apologies to any fans who have bought tickets.”

Jaz Coleman says Killing Joke have jumped at the chance to perform. “Just when you think it’s all over, I’d been missing my brothers in Killing Joke,” he said, “and then this opportunity came up. Looking forward to seeing everyone next week. One day’s rehearsal and a secret gig somewhere in the UK. Let’s get stuck in.”

Toyah completed the lineup. “We’re looking forward to having Killing Joke and Toyah join us in the UK,” said Billy. “This is going to be an epic show!”

Billy’s touring band features his long-time guitarist and collaborator Steve Stevens along with Stephen McGrath (bass, backing vocals), Billy Morrison (guitar, backing vocals), Paul Trudeau (keyboards, backing vocals) and drummer Erik Eldenius.
