The show was in support of the Music Venue Trust’s Red List campaign and sponsored by Fightback Lager. There was also a live stream to thousands of fans globally on Ticketmaster’s new streaming platform, Universe, while twenty lucky raffle winners witnessed it in person.

Starting off with ‘Be More Kind’, Frank was visibly moved to be playing in front of a live audience once again and the room was full of love and appreciation for the opportunity to enjoy it. Blasting through a setlist that included ‘The Road’, ‘1933’, ‘The Gathering’ and a stirring rendition of ‘Live & Let Die’, the hour long set flashed by in the blink of an eye.

Not one to be known for resting on his laurels, Turner finished off with ‘Still Believe’ before heading straight back to the studio to complete his forthcoming album.

The left the lucky fans who were there in no doubt, that for all the streaming technology in the world, nothing beats live.
