Black Stone Cherry / Out Of Pocket studio debut of new bass player Steve Jewell

Black Stone Cherry, who are currently on the road with The Darkness, have released a video for the new trademark rocker from their locker, Out Of Pocket. The new song marks the studio debut of new bass player Steve Jewell, who has been slaying the stages with them over the past two years.

The track is the first new music since the 2020 album, The Human Condition. “Out of Pocket is a song born out of that exact feeling,” Chris Robertson said. “The song was what I personally, and I think a lot of us, felt over these very trying last couple of years. Facing your demons, knowing that you have to come out the other side stronger than before.”

The band say they had great fun making the video. “We had a blast recording the video for Out Of Pocket with our long-time friend and collaborator, director Mike Rodway and his DP, Rove, who have done several videos and our latest Blu-Ray for us,” they said. “We shot our part of the video in a place that is very special to us, The Plaza Theatre in Glasgow, KY, which is where we recorded the drums and guitars for our new album! It was a fun shoot on a very dark stage with minimal lighting! Enjoy this thrilling video and turn it up!”

Tomorrow night, the band play Manchester AO Arena, with dates in Leeds and London to follow.
