Black Star Riders take swipe at political highbinders with ‘Candidate For Heartbreak’

Black Star Riders have released a fantastic new single ‘Candidate For Heartbreak’ and its a cracking track which takes a swipe towards the class of politicians who keep lying and unscrupulously contribute to a morbid system built on dividing and failing.

It is actually a great rocking track, with a glorious chorus harmony and was originally on the Digipack CD release of ‘Another State Of Grace’ included in the limited edition box set (1,000 copies).

Ricky Warwick told MetalTalk: “It’s a rocker! A Scott Gorham and Christian Martucci guitar onslaught. A song about the politics of dancing while the politicians dance around the truth!”

Christian Martucci agreed, telling us: “This is a really fun song to jam. I love how the guitars drone around Ricky’s vocals, and the awesome groove from Chad and Robbie!”

With Ramblin’ Man Festival postponed, we are all on tenterhooks awaiting news of their scheduled performance at Stone Dead Festival (29 August) and the band are eager to get out playing.

Scott Goreham told MetalTalk: “The song brings back memories of our time in the studio recording Another State of Grace. It was such a great and productive time. We all hope to be back playing to our fans real soon.”
