Biff Byford and son new album title track released

A gritty, hard-baked blues leaning riff is the welcome opening to ‘Red Brick City’, the title track from the newly announced album from Heavy Water, featuring father and son team Biff and Seb Byford.

With the album set for release on 23 July 2021 via Silver Lining Music, the first track is indeed a mouth-watering teaser for the ten-song slab of vinyl to follow.

The Byford boys told MetalTalk: “We decided to do something together in these dark times and the family came together to help get this album off the ground.

“We had great fun doing this album, working together on the songs and recording during the lockdown. It is all recorded without samples or profiles… just loud and proud!”

Seb Byford recorded and engineered the album at Big Silver Barn, taking the guitar and vocal duties. Biff covered bass and the vocal mantle, with Tom Witts on drums and Dave Kemp on keyboards and sax.
