Zippo Sessions will be taking place throughout Download festival weekend so you have the chance to enjoy intimate performances from bands playing on the stages at Download.
Zippo Sessions will take place at a secret location within the festival and the act performing will be a complete surprise until they walk on to the stage. Fans wanting to experience the exclusive performances will need to visit the Zippo Encore area in advance to pick up one of a wide range of Zippo windproof lighters. They will then be given a pass for a performance at a secret location in the festival, while supplies last.
Zippo Sessions will make its European debut at Download UK this year. Introduced in 2016 at Carolina Rebellion in the USA, bands such as Korn, Coheed & Cambria and The Pretty Reckless have previously graced the Zippo Sessions stage to perform acoustic sets of fan favourite songs. This year's talent in the UK is set to be just as hotly anticipated.
The acts performing at Zippo Sessions will be a complete surprise right up to the band performance, so speculation and interest are set to be at fever pitch ahead of these not to be missed performances.
There will be several Zippo Sessions throughout the weekend, meaning there will be plenty of opportunities to see these money-can’t-buy performances!
Zippo will also offer side of stage access to some of the greatest performances across the weekend - roll up and take part in the Zippo Spin To Win to be in with the chance of being in the Zippo Hot Seat where you'll be rocking out side-of-stage as bands perform for the masses in the festival field.
As well as Zippo Sessions, rock fans can celebrate all things live music at the home of the lighter that has sparked countless encores, the Zippo Encore area: you can grab yourself a limited edition Download UK Zippo lighter, design your very own windproof lighter and keep an eye out for other exciting prizes.
Download 2018 will be headlined by Avenged Sevenfold, Guns N' Roses and Ozzy Osbourne with Bullet For My Valentine, Marilyn Manson, Black Stone Cherry, Volbeat, Thunder, Shinedown and many, many more performing over the weekend.
