8th December 2017

Edition seventy of Cum On Feel The Newz.

A man decides after seventy years
That what he goes there for, is to unlock the door
While those around him criticize and sleep
And through a fractal on a breaking wall
I see you my friend, and touch your face again
Miracles will happen as we trip

Let's do this...

Off the back of such a mega year for Lancashire noise monsters Massive Wagons, with the last album going down a storm, and so many incredible shows not to mentioning a deal with Earache Records…they've just got to keep this madness rolling haven't they?

With recording sessions for their new album scheduled to start in early December, they've announced a raft of tour dates that stretch the length and breadth of the UK.

As the band explained, "Live is what we love, so let's get round the UK again and rock out with you amazing people" Special guests will be announced soon.

You can catch the Massive Wagons live experience at Rebellion Manchester (9th March), Sin City Swansea (10th March), The Maze Nottingham (11th March), Think Tank Newcastle (16th March), The Joiners Southampton (17th March), The Station Cannock (18th March), The Borderline London (6th April), The Snooty Fox Wakefield (7th April) before finishing up at The Cathouse Rock Club Glasgow (8th April).

2018 marks the beginning of yet another era in Angra's twenty-six-year history with 'ØMNI', their 9th studio album.

The album will be released on 16th February 2018 on earMUSIC, and was recorded in Sweden with Jens Bogren, who also produced the previous album 'Secret Garden'.

'ØMNI' is a concept album, a set of science fiction short stories that take place at various places in time, simultaneously. The album connects the concepts of previous albums ('Holy Land', 'Rebirth', 'Temple of Shadows') to one main system, 'ØMNI', which in Latin means 'everything.'

With the release their new album 'Kingslayer', Almanac have just unleashed a new single from the album, 'Hail To the King'.

The limited edition version of the new album includes a bonus live DVD of the band's show at this year's Masters Of Rock Festival. At the festival, the band debuted two new tracks live, 'Losing My Mind' and 'Children Of The Sacred Path'.

Victor explains: "Masters of Rock is one of my favourite festivals and for that reason we wanted to present 'Children Of The Sacred Path', a new song from the second album 'Kingslayer', for the first time at this festival.

Heavy rain before our show caused a lot of trouble in regards to doing our line check, so it was very difficult to achieve the perfect sound on stage. But in spite of the bad weather conditions, our fans gave us great support and I was happy that the video cameras were still working!"

Tribulation have revealed the first track of new album 'Down Below", to be released 26 January 2018 via Century Media Records.

Check out the album's opening track 'The Lament' in a video directed by Robert Piel. The band told us:

"We always plant strange seeds, seeds that when fully grown and ripened have taken their own often unexpected twists and turns. When working with this video we got to share that process with someone else who is also planting strange seeds."

Twenty-five-year old British blues rock guitarist and singer-songwriter, Laurence Jones, will release his new studio album The Truth on Friday 9th March 2018. To dovetail the release of the album, Laurence will start his nationwide tour at London's Borderline on Tuesday 23rd January and will continue in May.

Laurence has won several major awards and accolades, and has sold over 50,000 albums across four albums. He's supported Status Quo, Gary Clark Jr, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, James Bay, Van Morrison, Buddy Guy, Robert Cray, Joe Bonamassa Jools Holland, Eric Burdon, and many more.

Says Laurence, "The direction of this album is one I have always wanted to take and that's crossover blues, just like my heroes John Mayer, Eric Clapton and even Jimi Hendrix. They managed to really bring the sound of the blues to the masses. This is definitely my favourite album that I have made to date. I can't wait for people to hear The Truth."

Brit Bruisers Fathoms continue their resurgence with the release of a new video single, 'Slip Away' which is taken from their ferocious new album, 'Counter Culture'.

The five-piece's new album is bursting from at the seams with stocky NuMetal-esque riffs, rap crossovers, immense choruses, and contagious grooves.

The full-frontal vocal attack and astuteness of their previous single, 'Counter Culture', is destined to draw you in, and this new track, is both crushing and intoxicating. This is a record that will devour you whole.

UK heavy alt-rockers Greyhaven reveal their blistering new EP 'Breathe', via Outsider Records, on Friday 12th January 2018, but have released a taster in the form of 'Truth'.

The band's debut EP, The Flood, saw the foursome build a stout and loyal London-area fanbase and the next release, the Daniel Kerr produced EP 'State Of Mind', gained rampant traction and a hostof favourable reviews.

Greyhaven headed back to the studio with Daniel Kerr to begin work on their new EP and this release comprises four tracks of engulfing modern rock loaded with colossal vocal melodies and astute guitar work.

Alternative Rock unit ClayToRide continue their climb with the release of their new video single, 'Extincted' taken from their latest EP, 'Worth Leaving'.

Originally hailing from Italy, ClayToRide spent over seven years cutting their teeth and bedding in their sound before heading to Cardiff to make a new life.

Since their inception, the alt-rockers have released an EP, 2012's Age Of Innocence, and two full albums, 2014's 'For His Wine & Chamber' and 2015's 'Glass Vessels'.

The rising UK trio's massive new track and video feature devastating riffs, badly applied lipstick and a slow-motion doughnut to the face (1 minute and 21 seconds for full impact!).

'Crazy' is the third track from the EP following 'Dangerous!' and 'Know Your Name', which are all from their self-titled EP, a powerful six-track alt-rock record, produced by Lower Than Atlantis' guitarist Ben Sansom at Titan Studios in Watford.

It follows their debut 'Heritage' EP, which firmly introduced them to the UK rock scene and have since toured with Black Peaks, Decade, Lonely The Brave, Holding Absence and more.

Sister Shotgun are a five-piece modern rock band from the West Midlands who now deliver their explosive new single, 'Silhouettes'.

Sister Shotgun were born in 2013, and ever since then, they've shared stages with everyone from INME, Toseland, Fearless Vampire Killers and Kobra and the Lotus, to Butcher Babies.

Last February, the rockers dropped their most recent EP, 'Devour', to much acclaim with the release garnering rave reviews and radio airplay from a host of radio stations.

Finnish, Seinäjoki-based Metalcore band Red Raven Down have released a new music video; 'Ashes'.

The track is taken from their upcoming EP 'Phantoms' which is released 15th December 2017 on Inverse Records. Singer Jani Korpela commented:

"We were seeking fresh sounds, still we wanted to take something where we ended with our first singles. Reaching rock bottom, but still there is some light to reach. Ashes music video captured song's ambience pretty damn well. Song is about losing something very close and even the darkest hearted can empower in the end."

New York based Nu Metal band Jynx have released a video for 'Fade' which boasts heavy riffs, huge choruses, soaring vocals and a beat you can really get behind.

Vocalist Tommy Roulette explains: "Fade was built around the manipulation and lack of compassion I was going through at the time.

"It really sucks giving your heart to someone and being completely vulnerable, just to know that they never cared about you in the first place. Writing this helped me be content with being alone."

Hailing from Stoke on Trent UK, Goya have been impressing live audiences with their "must listen to" instrumental debut EP 'Kathmandu' and now they've released their awesome first music video; the mighty 'Venenatus'.

The track is epic and adventurous and delivers a kaleidoscope of musical influences from Goya while making the track their own.

"We wanted to create a piece that went through various movements", explains guitarist Jase Kester, "You've got a pseudo-classical intro, Sabbath-esque doom riffs, an up-tempo moment, a section of pure feedback, and an acoustic outro that we improvised live during the recording session. It wraps up everything that is Goya on our musical journey so far."

Finland's Female Pagan Metallers Vermilia have released a new single 'Poissa', which translates into 'Gone' in English.

'Poissa' comes only 3 weeks after the release of the band's first single 'Vedestä Vieraantunut'.

The new single introduces Vermilia to another side of their Pagan Black Metal with blast beats, sweet vocal melodies and more brutality with the voice.

New band Arcaeon announce their inception with their debut EP 'Balance', due 26th January 2018, which is led by the first single, 'Fade'.

Staking their claim as a new band to watch within the UK's burgeoning progressive Metalcore scene, Arcaeon pack a punch with their progressive yet melodic style.

Arcaeon are a group who in their short existence have already played alongside Devil Sold His Soul, The Voynich Code, The Arusha Accord and more, despite forming early in 2017. Stay tuned for news of a UK tour early next year.

Midlands four-piece Go Primitive have released the brand-new video for 'A Different Person' the explosive second single taken from their forthcoming debut album, 'Choices', out 23rd February 2018.

Frontman Tomm E. Williams spoke about the video, saying: "It is a light-hearted play on people's 'different person' or alter ego. It's a fun play on what could be a serious subject, showing that people have different sides to them."

Fuelled with attitude, the band state, "'A Different Person' is about someone showing their unfavourable true colours, shattering the belief of the kind of person you thought they were."
