Edition sixty three of Cum On Feel The Newz.

In very old English currency there were 63 groats to a guinea. By our reckoning, at today's prices that's about a bucketful of coins to hand over the bar for each pint. One more reason to be grateful for contactless payments.

Let's do this...

As Lions
Dragonforce
Night Ranger
Kill The Ideal
Black Stone Cherry
Butcher Babies
Blind Guardian
Von Hertzen Brothers
The Cadillac Three

Kentucky rockers Black Stone Cherry have released their version of Albert Kings 'Born Under A Bad Sign', from their upcoming blues covers EP, 'Black to Blues' which is out on Mascot Records/Mascot Label Group on 29th September.

Speaking about why they decided to pick this track as one for the EP, bassist Jon Lawhon said "We wanted to do that song because Cream did that song, but, we were looking for songs that were 'obscure,' but not so obscure that people hadn't maybe heard them before and have some familiarity with it.

"It was tough to pick some stuff; I'll be honest with you. And too, we had to think about the arrangement; how could we alter the riff a bit and make it ours. So, it was a deep process."

US hard rock supremos Night Ranger have released a new single. 'Running Out Of Time', taken from their current studio album, 'Don't Let Up'.

The San Francisco based act have also recently announced two UK shows in March 2018, at the HRH AOR event held in Pwllheli, North Wales on prior to this, with Night Ranger playing on Friday 9th March 2018 and then a co-headlining London date with Skid Row on Sunday 13th November at the Shepherd's Bush Empire.

Night Ranger drummer, co-lead vocalist and co-founder Kelly Keagy told us: "I'm really looking forward to the UK dates we have coming up in March. Playing with our good friends Skid Row at the legendary Shepherd's Bush Empire. It's going to be a kickass show. And also we are going back to the HRH AOR festival in Wales for the second time. I have great memories of the last time we played there. There were so many die-hard fans. I'm really looking forward to it."

Celebrated Swedish rock band H.E.A.T premiere the music video for their new single 'Eye Of The Storm' to dovetail the release of their long awaited new album 'Into The Great Unknown' today via earMUSIC.

H.E.A.T start the European leg of their tour in Copenhagen on Monday 30th October and the band will play their first show in the UK in Wolverhampton on Friday 17th November.

After one and a half years of intense song-writing, with guitarist Dave Dalone (aka Sky Davis) back in the mix, the band went on a questionable trip to record an album in Thailand, once again with Swedish Grammy award-winning producer Tobias Lindell. The result is an innovative, highly explosive and refreshing melodic rock sound and an unforgettable collection of fantastic new songs.

The Cadillac Three have released the video for their new single 'Dang If We Didn't', which is taken from their latest album 'Legacy'.

"We wrote this song on the back of the bus, originally as a more straight-down-the-middle country song", recalls vocalist Jaren Johnston. "After messing around with it a bit more, the feel kind of changed into more of the Stones meet Dwight Yoakam."

Having already played main stage slots at Download Festivals in both France and the UK this summer, the Nashville natives will be bringing their electrifying performances back to the UK this Autumn with their 'Long Hair Don't Care' tour.

The brand new studio album 'War Is Over', from the award winning cinematic Finnish rockers Von Hertzen Brothers, will be out on 3rd November 2017. The lyric video fro 'The Arsonist' is revealed today

The album follows on from 2015's acclaimed 'New Day Rising' and saw the band take a new approach to their songwriting technique. Brothers Mikko, Kie and Jonne von Hertzen took time to write seperately.

'War Is Over' isn't a concept album, but the War theme does run through key songs. "There is this underlying texture throughout the album, which I see as a huge question mark: 'what are we as humans doing to preserve a loving and kind world? Why are we fighting every day and blaming others for our problems?'" Mikko remarks before adding there is "anxiety and the constant struggle, so, come and join this movement, let's not succumb to fear."

As Lions have just dropped the lyric video for latest single 'Pieces', ahead of their UK headline tour next month and the just-announced European tour with Alter Bridge, where they will be special guests.

The track comes from their debut album 'Selfish Age' following the singles 'Selfish Age', 'One By One' and the Top 12 Billboard-charting 'Aftermath'.

They've spent time on the road with Shinedown and Five Finger Death Punch in North America, and this November they'll be returning to the UK to play a run of headline shows. They'll be joined by Greyhaven plus the winners of the the 'Nine Lives' competition, which they launched last month, giving local talent a chance to support As Lions at the winners' home venues.

International Metal superstars Dragonforce have unveiled a new video for 'Midnight Madness'. Taken from the latest album 'Reaching Into Infinity', the video drops just ahead of the UK & European legs of their massive World Tour.

Giving fans a rare glimpse into the making of a Dragonforce album, the video takes fans behind the scenes with the band when recording the album. Guitarist Herman Li explains:

"Many fans have asked us over the years what's it like working in the studio on an album. The music video from the latest song to be released from the 'Reaching Into Infinity' album - 'Midnight Madness', has the perfect vibe to take the fans behind the scene and see what we get up to!"

With the release of their third studio album 'Lilith', set for release on 10 November via Century Media Records, Butcher Babies have premiered the music video for the album's title track.

The new video is heavily influenced by the story of Lady Bathory, and tells the tale of what lengths some women will go to maintain their youth and beauty.

Directed by Strati Hovartos, the video serves as a keen encapsulation of the violence and sensuality that runs deep throughout the band's upcoming record.

The seminal progressive Power Metal pioneers from Krefeld Germany, Blind Guardian, have announced that their entire back catalogue from 1988 to 2003 will be re-released on October 27th via Nuclear Blast.

Records 'Battalions Of Fear', 'Follow The Blind' and 'A Night At The Opera' are all 2017 remasters, whilst the remaining albums are 2007 remasters - except 'Live' which is being released as the original master. All are available via CD and digitally, which you can now pre-order::

'Battalions Of Fear - Remastered'
'Follow The Blind - Remastered'
'Tales From The Twilight World - Remastered'
'Somewhere Far Beyond - Remastered'
'Imaginations From The Other Side - Remastered'
'Nightfall In Middle Earth - Remastered'
'A Night At The Opera - Remastered'
'The Forgotten Tales - Remastered'
'Tokyo Tales - Remastered'
'Live'

British rock trio Kill The Ideal have released the new video for 'Dangerous!' to accompany the band's first single from their upcoming self-titled EP, out October 17th.

It is an action-packed adventure that follows our unlikely hero, a janitor, on a momentous adventure to rescue a beautiful damsel from peril in the form of masked villains holding up a church.

The band told us: "The video demonstrates that appearances can be deceiving. We went full on die-hard shooting this music video and wanted to create something that shows that anyone can be dangerous if they put their mind to it."

You can see Kill The Ideal live at Pi Bar, Leicester (29th September), Thinking Cap Alldayer, Leeds (30th September) and 2Q Festival, Lincoln (28th October).

The Bad Flowers have released their new single 'Thunder Child', supported by an official music video. The 3-piece are also set to embark on an 10-date UK tour, with five of the dates supporting The Picturebooks in October.

The Bad Flowers formed from the depths of the Black Country in 2014 comprised of lead vocalist and guitarist, Tom Leighton, whose signature riffs, fuzz emotive guitar and pure vocals have distinctive sound unlike anybody else. Bassist Dale Tonks provides a deep heavy groove and tasty bass runs that underpins Karl Selickis' chest pumping drums and impeccable rhythmic feel.

2017 has so far seen the band continue their relentless live schedule by supporting Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown, Toseland, and Dan Baird and The Original Sin. The highly anticipated debut album, 'Starting Gun', is set for release in early 2018.

Transatlantic hard rock band Dorja released their new single 'Far Gone' on Friday the 15th September 2017.

As vocalist Aiym Almas explained about the new song: "(It's) one of those songs that just came together so quickly. I was still writing the lyrics when I was flying over to London and we completed it with the girls on the night I arrived. It felt so good and complete that we already played it the next day on the first night of our tour. I love the dynamics of the song and all it's interesting transitions. It has a much darker tone to it musically and lyrically but it's definitely the one song we all love to rock out to live."

Dorja recorded their new release in July 2017 with Oliver Lee at The Rake studios, London and it was the first recording to include new guitarist Sarah Michelle. The new single is accompanied by a music video - another DIY approach, using live footage from a festival appearance on their most recent UK tour.

Alternative rock/Metal band, Klogr, have released a music video for their brand new single 'Sleeping Through The Seasons', ahead of new album 'Keystone' and 'The Rasmus' tour.

Klogr guitarist / frontman Rusty says, "When I talked to Andrea Saltini about the concept of the album, he shared with me his interpretation inspired by the novel/movie 'Lord Of The Flies'. I really loved his idea because it seems a wide way to see the album as a whole in one music video. It is always exciting to meet other artists (painters, designers, art directors, and writers) point of views so they can give you other interpretations of your work."

'Sleeping Through the Seasons' is the second single to be taken from the new album following lead song 'Prison Of Light'.

Swedish thrash legends F.K.Ü. return with their brand-new album '1981', out on Despotz Records, 3rd November, in tribute to the ultimate year of the slasher movie genre.

The goal with the new album, inspired by 'Corpse Mania', 'Night School' and the timeless classics 'Halloween II' and 'Friday the 13th Part 2' was to take the listener back to the old days.

The new album is a horror experience on the same level as those old school slasher classics. So, sit back, grab the popcorn, call for pizza and invite your friends. This twisted and demented world of knife wielding maniacs has only just started. Let the body count begin!

The French industrial-goth Metal band Porn will release their third album on 20th October 2017, preceded by a single and remix EP of the album song 'Sunset Of Cruelty'.

Named after the classic 'Pornography' album by The Cure and influenced by early 80's electronic noise exponents such as SPK and Esplendor Geometrico as well as the 80's/90's dark rock lineage of Bauhaus, Fields Of The Nephilim and Type O Negative, Porn are led by Philippe Deschemin, who has published a sci-fi novel ('Contoyen') and several short stories since the release of his group's previous album in 2011.

A milestone record for the band, the concept of 'The Ogre Inside' is based on the 'Contoyen' novel. From the 90's industrial rock sound of album opener 'Sunset Of Cruelty' right through to the brooding goth-Metal atmosphere of the title track that ends the record, Porn take the listener on a journey into the darkest corners of the mind. Scattered with voice samples of Aleister Crowley, it can be taken as an invitation to fight the great beast, the Ogre that threatens to devour.

Hotly tipped London-based rock duo Rews have announced the release of their debut album 'Pyro', which will be out November 3rd on Marshall Records ahead of a headline UK tour.

The album's sound is raw and burgeoning with infectious choruses and deadly distorted riffs. Lead singer/guitarist Shauna Tohill delivers soaring vocals alongside drummer Collette Williams' bewitching harmonies and thunderous drums drawing influences from the likes of Grohl and Bonham with pounding toms and a shit-kicking bass drum.

Inspired by life events from the dramatic to the mundane, Pyro covers topics from heartbreak to shady characters and breakfast cereals.
